Why Choose FG Saddlery for your Saddle Fitting?
Choosing the right saddle fitter is essential. Everyone will have a slightly different approach or skillset. So how would I describe myself?
I am both a Saddler and Saddle Fitter who has been trained by one of the South Easts most respected Saddle Fitters, David Dyer. Not only has that instilled an incredible knowledge of brands, styles, and individual product knowledge, but also a skill set that drives me to only settle for the best possible outcome for both horse and rider.
I pride myself on treating everyone the same, from International Professionals to your everyday hacker and children. Every horse and rider is entitled to the best possible saddle fit and service. That is what I endeavour to provide.
How is FG Saddlery different?
Working with so many brands, means I have been trained on a large number of brands either directly with manufacturers or associated partners. This allows me to work with existing saddles to find the optimum fit for both horse and rider. It also means I have a large and varied product knowledge for when you are interested in new saddles.
When you start looking into problem solving saddle issues, it soon becomes apparent how much of a minefield this area can be. So I feel it is essential you work with a saddle fitter who is willing to share all of their knowledge without trying to force an outcome.
I will never tell someone they have to do as I recommend, or buy a certain saddle. I will never tell someone a saddle I sell is better than one provided by another retailer. I am only interested in finding the best solution for both horse and rider, and I’m proud to be impartial.

ABOUT FREYA
I am a Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddler and Saddle Fitter. I have been in the industry for 10 years, and I have never stopped learning. Prior to completing my saddle fitting training and qualifications, I gained a BSc Equine Studies with Behaviour and Nutrition and have been an owner and rider since I was a child.
I am always looking for the best possible solution for both horse and rider, and feel my training and experience both in and outside of saddle fitting offer an educated and knowledgeable perspective.
